Surge arresters and voltage conditioners: the solution to avoid damage to other components

Varistors

A surge arrester is a device that in case an overvoltage occurs, for example caused by a lightning surge or by a switching operation in the network, ensures a safe deviation to earth of the overvoltage. In this way, the overvoltage will not cause damage to other network components.

Low voltage

Types: MWR, POLIM-R, POLIM-C

Medium voltage

Types: MWK, MWD, POLIM-C, POLIM-D, POLIM-H, POLIM-I, POLIM-K, POLIM-S

Extremely safe and maintenance free thanks to the directly vulcanized polymer housing.
Available for the highest energy classes for optimal protection and availability of amongst the others: overhead lines, cable terminations, cable junctions, transformers, generators, compensation reactors, filter reactors, long cables etc.

Active voltage conditioner

OSKAR stabilizes continuously the network voltage -and this only towards the connected loads- and protects those against voltage dips and over voltages ; extremely low losses and high reliability.

Suitable in particular for industrial applications with e.g. motors and drives: the full short-circuit power remains available and allows for motor starting without any compromise.
